Yukinobu SANADA (the third son of Nobushige) (真田幸信 (信繁の三男))

Yukinobu MIYOSHI was the third son of Nobushige (Yukimura) SANADA. His childhood name was Sajiro. His common name was Samanosuke. His older brothers were Yukimasa SANADA and Morinobu SANADA. His younger brother was Yukichika SANADA.

Biography

He lost his father Nobushige SANADA and his older brother Yukimasa SANADA in the Siege of Osaka. He was born in Kyoto in September 6, 1615, two months after the death of his father and his older brother. Yukinobu's mother was Ryuseiin, a remained daughter of Hidetsugu TOYOTOMI who received death penalty. He hesitated to use Sanada name and used the Miyoshi clan name instead, which was the original family name of his maternal grandfather Hidetsugu; he called himself as Sajiro MIYOSHI.

Later, he was took in by Nobutaka IWAKI of Kameda domain in Dewa Province with whom his older sister Onda-hime (Oden-hime) married. After his genpuku (celebrate one's coming of age), he called himself Yukinobu MIYOSHI and was given 380 koku (a unit for measuring the amount of rice crop, which shows the power of a bushi).

He died in 1667. He died at the age of 53.
